BANT Registered Nutritional Therapist
Functional Medicine Practitioner

Skin Specialist and Clinical Nutritional Therapist

My name is Kim, I’m a BANT & CNHC registered Nutritional Therapist and Functional Medicine Practitioner. I’m an Associate with the Royal Society for Medicine, and hold a membership with the Institute for Functional Medicine, and I continue to undertake training with both. I specialise in all things skin, from managing conditions like acne and eczema, to rosacea, psoriasis and anti-ageing.

My journey to become a Nutritional Therapist started with my previous career as a professional singer. I was living in Hong Kong and traveling around Asia for work. My skin was breaking out a lot, which I blamed on the humidity and all the make-up. As time went on, I began to experience other symptoms and my skin got worse. Working until I burnt out was a common occurrence. My energy levels were going down. I was constantly tired and my body ached. I frequently caught colds. I suffered with depression and anxiety, and had trouble focusing. I had with painful breakouts of cystic acne that nothing seemed to fix. By the time I moved to London, I was feeling terrible, and was forced to take almost a year off of work with chronic bronchitis and pneumonia.

I was lucky enough to discover Nutritional Therapy and Functional Medicine. I worked on my own health first, and not only did my skin clear up, but I had more energy, and my ongoing depression lifted. In short, I got my life back.

This inspired me to study, so I undertook training at prestigious Institute for Optimum Nutrition I began to realise that with almost all chronic conditions, nutrition and lifestyle have a huge impact. Food is so much more than calories – food is information from which our body literally manufactures cells, tissues and hormones. I discovered that there is so much that can be done with the tools of functional medicine to improve skin conditions, and the underlying conditions that often show up with them – hormonal imbalances like hypothyroidism and diabetes, digestive issues like bloating and constipation, and mental health struggles like anxiety and depression.

My goal is to help others who feel the way I used to. I refused to accept these symptoms as ‘normal’, and you can do that too. It is possible to feel better than you do now – to clear up your skin, have more energy, and feel like yourself again. I know how you feel because I’ve been there.

Treating each client as an individual to address the root cause is the core of my practice. Book a free discovery call today to see how I can help you.
